Never fear Tantrum Theatre is here combining performance and adventure in the biggest Treasure Hunt Newcastle has ever seen.Emerging artists from around the city have teamed together to create a performance that will provide audiences with a fresh way to discover Newcastle in a joyful family-friendly exploration of King Edward Park.
Treasure Hunt aims to highlight Newcastle’s unique locality and character, inviting teams of audience members to divide and conquer King Edward Park in search of clues and hidden treasures, participating in new exciting challenges along the way.“The exciting thing about an event like Treasure Hunt is that it moves performance from a conventional theatre setting and activates our city’s public spaces in a fun and challenging way!”(Rachel Jackett, Tantrums Associate Director)
Treasure Hunt will be a fun and fanciful Sunday morning event for anyone who enjoys a challenge in the sun! This event will run for between one and two hours, with ample opportunities to take a break along the way. Participants of all ages are encouraged to take part in this family friendly event, so pack your water bottle, sun hat or wet weather gear, for two hours of wild discovery and fun.
